Στο χρυσό νόμισμα εμφανίζεται ο βασιλιάς Γιώργος Ε’ και ο Άγιος Γεώργιος που σκοτώνει έναν δράκο . Ο Άγιος Γεώργιος ήταν ρωμαϊκός στρατιώτης που εκτελέστηκε  επειδή αρνήθηκε να παραιτηθεί από τη χριστιανική του πίστη.
Στο νόμισμα παρουσιάζεται το γράμμα “P” το οποίο συμβολίζει το νομισματοκοπείο του Perth της Αυστραλίας στο οποίο κόπηκε το νόμισμα.
Οι χρυσές λίρες Αγγλίας  κόβονται πλέον στις πόλεις των αποικιών της Βρετανικής αυτοκρατορίας, αφού το 1917 είναι το τελευταίο έτος που κόπηκαν χρυσές λίρες στο Λονδίνο.
